Taking place in Vienna this week is the 10th ASIS International European Security Conference & Exhibition. The show is expected to attract around 400 senior security professionals. Organisers of ITEC 2011 have reported that it is set to become a major platform for safety and security discussions for military experts.

In other news, Trub, a provider of tachograph smart cards, has announce that it has been chosen to supply smart cards to Macedonia, Moldavia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, making it the market leader for the tachograph smart cards first introduced in 2004. Lastly, CNL software and megatel, a leading developer of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for the Aviation Industry and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), have joined forces to work on a Middle Eastern project. Myrasis has announced that it will be exhibiting its video surveillance software solution at the show in a bid to continue its focus on global expansion in India. At the Sicurezza 2010 show due to end today, March Networks will be demonstrating its innovative IP video surveillance solution and high performance products.

At the recent Abloy UK event at the new ASSA ABLOY Academy in Portobello, West Midlands, locksmiths, access control specialists and systems integrators took an exclusive first look at the new, state-of-the-art training facilities. In application news, Dallmeier’s surveillance solution was installed at the FC Fredericia football stadium to increase security.
