On this fine day we look back at the top news of the week, and also bring you some more IFSEC pre-show news to keep you well informed.

We started the week with an anouncement from Siemens regarding its solutions integrated security solution for power plants. Following this there was news from the US as it sought to strengthen its aviation security with purchase of explosives trace detection units. Last on our news rewind, AD Group charitable act. In a bid to do their bit for the Forever Manchester charity, they have bought a ‘virtual’ Manchester Town Hall for £25k to back  the charity initiative.

In the news today, first time exhibitors at Counter Terror Expo – The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) are on form as their time at the show proves a success. In the US IndigoVision celebrate the official opening of its new North American headquarters in the Raritan Centre area of Edison, NJ. Milestone is looking forward to IFSEC where their will exhibit their integrated software solutions.

In Slovenia Hikvision makes its mark at its network cameras are installed at the Rotonda building. And to end the round up, Dominic Chapman joins the Mobotix to help boost its  growth in the surveillance market.
