On today’s weekly round-up, we bring you a mix of news stories. At the top of the pile, the British Security Industry Association brought news of optimism as it analysed how private and public sector security forces can work together to deliver essential services during times of crisis. For Hikvision, it was time to celebrate as its digital video recorder for mobile surveillance applications won the FSDays (Prague Fire & Security Days) Award at the FSDays 2010 international fair.

In corporate news, Siemens and SALTO both launched something new for the UK. Siemens introduced their Siveillance Command, Siveillance Vantage, and Siveillance SitelQ in the UK market and SALTO unveiled a new co.uk version of their main corporate website. Lastly, CBC’s Ganz CCTV cameras were deployed to undertake surveillance at the Heugh Gun Battery Museum.
