In today’s weekly news round-up, Oncam Grandeye and Sentry 360 have announced that they have settled their differences after litigating and negotiating the patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation claims alleged by Oncam Grandeye. Oncam Grandeye has agreed to dismiss the lawsuit without prejudice, and the parties will compete on the merits in benefit of the video surveillance industry. Over in Germany, Dahua has been awarded the 2014 iF Product Design Award for its HDTV Box and the Sync Autofocus Network Camera. Dahua’s products were chosen from approximately 2,000 other entries from 37 nations to receive the iF seal of outstanding design quality.

In application news, Raytec, MOBOTIX, and Farson Digital Watercams have teamed up to provide a state-of-the-art system designed to monitor river conditions in the UK, in the wake of devastating national flooding.
