In today’s weekly news round-up, MOBOTIX presented its new i25 compact sized Hemispheric camera at ASIS International 2014. The wall mountable i25 captures an entire room with 180° wall-to-wall view, without any blind spots. Over at booth number 2411, Avigilon displayed its latest release of the Avigilon Control Center (ACC) software. The Control Center 5.4 software enables complete video analytics configuration and management support for Avigilon’s HD Dome and HD Bullet cameras.

Also at ASIS, DVTEL showcased its ioimage HD CF-5222 and CF-5212 cameras. The ioimage HD cameras include the benefits of DVTEL’s Quasar high-resolution, low-bandwidth and minimised and predictable storage and are optimised for outdoor and low-light conditions. Other attendees at the event included Milestone Systems, which displayed its new Husky Hybrid network video recorders. The Husky series of NVRs now offer versions with integrated encoders that make it simple to connect analogue and digital cameras, which run on IP networks, to the same box. Finally, last week’s Security Essen 2014 marked its 40th anniversary with more than 1,000 exhibitors from around the world. For the first time, the premier global fair in Essen offered more than 40 market segments from mechanical and digital security technology via fire protection and video surveillance, right up to IT security and counter-terrorism.
