In corporate news, Netgenium Systems has become the first access control specialist to integrate with ASSA ABLOY Access Control’s Aperio locking solutions. ASSA ABLOY’s Aperio is designed to upgrade mechanically locked doors and wirelessly connect them online or offline to new or existing access control systems, with minimal modification to doors and premises, offering a cost effective and simple security upgrade.

In application news, Genetec has announced that Europe’s busiest exhibition centre, the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham has recently completed installation of Genetec’s Security Center as its unified security platform to manage its integrated security and traffic management requirements. By choosing Security Center, the NEC was able to integrate its video surveillance with Genetec Omnicast, and traffic management with Genetec AutoVu.
