In today’s news round-up, video management software from Aimetis has been deployed at Perth Airport. Aimetis Symphony provides the airport with a single platform for upgrading the existing analogue CCTV system to operate over an IP network, as well as a scalable system allowing new cameras to be added as required. In other application news, IQinVision has recently announced that Woonstad Rotterdam Housing Corporation in the Netherlands is using IQinVision HD megapixel cameras for enhanced security at its housing estates. For this project, the company has 39 sites under surveillance, each with approximately five cameras placed at strategic locations both inside and outside the housing units.

In corporate news, LEGIC Identsystems AG has gained another strong partner from China, Shanghai Airlink Technologies. The system integrator specialises in developing security solutions, in particular CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems. In other corporate news, AxxonSoft has recently joined with its Spanish partner and distributor, Hommax Sistemas, to hold their first-ever series of seminars on AxxonSoft software. In the second half of each seminar, experts from both companies engaged with installers and integrators and were able to propose solutions for some high-priority projects on the spot. The British Security Industry Association has awarded former chairman Julie Kenny for her contribution to the security industry. Kenny spoke of her high regard for the Association and described winning the award as an “honour”.  Finally, Videotec has recently established a representative agency in Israel to provide a local support and promotion of their company and products.
