We start our Monday news round up with a selections of news items regarding upcoming tradeshows and some rather interested application articles to keep you informed.

In light of the upcoming IFSEC show, Wavesight has announced that it will be demonstrating UK designed and manufactured technology capable of delivering high bandwidth video transmission over low power, unlicensed wireless bridges.  Another show on the horizon is the ICT Security Africa Summit 2010.  Attending the show will be the likes of Kenya ICT Board, Ecobank, Toyota, MTN Uganda, Nestle and Kenya National Audit Office.

On the application news front, Siemens divulge the suitability of their integrated security solution for power plants.  Mobotix announces another successful installation of their network-based video security system at Vallé Academy of Performing Arts. And last but not least Avigilon’s HD surveillance system installed at Oklahoma’s County Sheriff’s Office saves more than $10 million annually in personnel costs.
