In today’s news round-up, Cassidian will showcase its defence and security solutions at the MAKS 2013 International Aviation & Space Salon in Moscow.  Products to be exhibited will include its missile warning system MILDS AN/AAR-60, which is able to detect the presence and direction of incoming missile threats. In corporate news, The International Women’s Media Foundation has recently launched the first ever global survey regarding concerns over the security of female journalists. The survey, created in conjunction with the International News Safety Institute, will produce much needed data on the challenges faced by women in news media around the world.

Over in Israel, Valens has become a Steering Member of the high definition surveillance standard body HDcctv Alliance. It is hoped that the company’s participation will accelerate worldwide migration to HD surveillance. In other corporate news, Facewatch has appointed Michael Gordon Gibson to its Senior Management team. Michael will oversee the delivery of Facewatch’s service to several national and international police forces. Finally, Integrated Systems Events is to hold its Smart Building Conference in London on Tuesday 15 October.
