In today’s news round-up, The Women’s Security Council (WSC) has granted Axis Communications’ Vice President of Global Sales its Woman of the Year Award 2013 in the manufacturer category. The WSC award honours the top female professionals in the physical security industry in a variety of categories. The winners were presented at this year’s ISC West. In application news, Honeywell Building Solutions has secured a three year contract to maintain business critical systems at Raithwaite Hall Country Retreat, Whitby. The service agreement includes a planned preventive maintenance programme, regular system testing, emergency call-outs and replacement parts.

In other application news, NICE Systems recently announced that the City of San Diego Public Utilities Department is implementing NICE Situator and NiceVision Net to help secure its water supply. The integrated NICE Security portfolio will enable seamless, efficient, and centralised monitoring of 64 facilities. In corporate news, Airlive has announced the implementation of strategic plans to increase product availability throughout Poland, through a partnership with E-Systems. Finally, SSAIB will have a double presence at this year’s IFSEC and FIREX International shows in Birmingham.
