In today’s weekly news round-up, Avigilon has announced the promotion of two of its top performers. Bryan Schmode has been appointed Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, and Pedro Simoes to Senior Vice President of Global Sales. In events news, Dahua has introduced its HDCVI technology at this year’s China Public Security Expo 2013The HDCVI technology was also awarded the “Gold Excellence Award 2014″ from the show organisers.

In application news, multiple products from ASSA ABLOY have been installed at the Translational Research Institute (TRI) building in Brisbane, Australia. The 3570 series Lockwood commercial mortise locks are being used to safeguard the four floors of laboratory research rooms. Over in Singapore, an integrated security and communications system from Bosch has been deployed at The Gardens by the Bay. The installation includes 192 NDC455, VG4 and VG5 series cameras. Finally, AxxonSoft’s Axxon Intellect surveillance has been deployed by E-Plus, one of the top three mobile operators in Germany.
