Taking place in Vienna this week is the 10th ASIS International European Security Conference & Exhibition. The show is expected to attract around 400 senior security professionals. Organisers of ITEC 2011 have reported that it is set to become a major platform for safety and security discussions for military experts.

In other news, Trub, a provider of tachograph smart cards, has announce that it has been chosen to supply smart cards to Macedonia, Moldavia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, making it the market leader for the tachograph smart cards first introduced in 2004. Lastly, CNL software and megatel, a leading developer of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for the Aviation Industry and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), have joined forces to work on a Middle Eastern project.
