As IFSEC 2010 comes to a close, we have some news on the winners at the show. Also in the round up are some application which are literally out of this world.

First up, it was a winning night for Dedicated Micros as they picked up the IFSEC award for integrated security product at the show for their plug-and-play Closed IP TV system.

In the world of applications Theia CCTV lens went out of this world as they were used by NASA to capture the Sierra Nevada mountain range.  At the Kiwi Mini Pris supermarket it was Hikvision network cameras that were the security solution of choice.

Lastly, in Budapest Axis network cameras were chosen to reduce traffic jams in the capital.

To end the working week, we focus on more IFSEC show news and some interesting installations from the UK. Let’s delve in…

First in IFSEC news, MindTree have announced that they will be unveiling the largest portfolio of ready-to-brand video surveillance solutions at the show. Thermal imaging solution from Irisys and Qnap’s new Network Video Recorder models will also take centre stage at the show.

Now, onto some applications. The UK broadband giant TalkTalk has opted for Samsung CCTV systems to secure its new London office. In the Borough of Bexley Siemens will provided 24-hour, 365 days a year monitoring to reduce crime and secure safety of residents …check out more news
